Wojciech Szczesny has been named Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper, the Blaugrana coach has confirmed.
Hansi Flick has reaffirmed that Wojciech Szczesny is Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper and will start ahead of Inaki Peña in Thursday’s trip to Valencia, Ufabet Sport reported on Wednesday.

Shot-stopper Szczęsny has for his part of course played an increasingly prominent role for Barcelona over the course of recent weeks.
After initially being condemned to a backup role behind Iñaki Peña following his free agent arrival, the Pole’s experience has seen him favoured by boss Hansi Flick of late.
In fact, in Barca’s last nine fixtures across all competitions, Szczęsny has featured from the off in all but two.
‘Szczesny is the number one goalkeeper, that’s clear,’ he said, explaining his decision to back the Pole ahead of Peña. ‘I understand you are comparing two players. Iñaki is a great goalkeeper, but we chose Teix because of his personality and style. He is doing well.’
‘They are two great goalkeepers. The decision is something we have made and we have to stick to it. We always make decisions for the good of the team and that’s what I want to do.’
